  • The Baby Friendly Online Education Program (Government of South Australia). This eLearning program has been designed to meet Step 2 of the educational requirements for Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative and Baby Friendly Community Initiative. Anyone can use the e-learning program but it would be most useful for health professionals or students wishing to gain further knowledge about breastfeeding. The program could also be a useful tool for midwives wanting to update their breastfeeding knowledge. The cost of the program is $50 per person (plus GST), or a discounted cost of $40 per person (plus GST) for groups of 50 or more.
  • Health e-Learning Online Education is an excellent website providing online breastfeeding education.  The education is suitable for IBLCE exam candidates, to obtain CERPS for lactation consultant recertification, for cost effective Baby Friendly education for hospitals.
  • The Beyond Blue Postnatal Depression website now has available a free accredited Perinatal Mental Health online training program for primary professionals which can be accessed through the beyondblue website. 
  • The K2 Medical Systems Fetal Monitoring Training System is a computer based training and certification in fetal monitoring to improve core knowledge and skills.  This eLearning package is available for purchase as an individual or group purchase as an annual fetal monitoring update for midwifery staff. Maternity Services in the Grampians Region are currently purchasing this program for use by all of their maternity staff.  Please contact your manager if you work in the Grampians Region to obtain access.
  • The NeoResusTraining Program  NeoResus is a specialized training program that has been designed to standardize the way in which newborn resuscitation is taught in Victoria. The NeoResus program comprises two skills based, teamwork focused training programs: First Response and Advanced Resuscitation. These face-to-face, multidisciplinary training programs are supported by online, evidence-based learning modules, which are completed by all program participants. This web site provides NeoResus program participants with access to the online learning material. There is also a resource section specifically for NeoResus program Facilitators, whom we will be actively recruiting and training in 2010.
  • The Newborn Emergency Transport Service (Victoria) NETS website has two learning packages available.  Congenital Heart Disease and Neonatal Ventilation.  They can be ordered by telephoning NETS Education (toll free) on 1300 662 434 or by downloading an order form from the website.  See the website for costs.
