10 RICPRAC Infection Control Manual

This manual has been developed by the Victorian Rural Infection Control Practice Group (RICPRAC) to meet an identified need for resources for hospital Infection Control Practitioners when formulating policy and procedures. RICPRAC is a collaborative network of Infection control consultants with regional responsibilities in the five non metropolitan DHS regions of Victoria, and one representative from DHS.

This generic manual has been developed for Health Care Facilities to use and/or implement as appropriate

15 Little Yellow Infection Control Books (LYICB)

The Little Yellow Infection Control Booklet series is designed to fill the need for simple, point-of-first-use infection control information. They are not designed to be comprehensive infection control manuals. These booklets provide information on appropriate infection control principles not specific procedures, as specific procedures vary from agency to agency. Practitioners seeking detailed information on agency specific policies and procedures should refer to their agency infection control manual.

6 Sample Newsletters

These word documents have been provided to assist infection control consultants construct a newsletter using samples that have been used in the Grampians Region - you are welcome to use all or part of them to construct your own newsletter. They are published in MS Word so that you can edit them as required.

5 Anaphylaxis Training Package

This training package is designed to assist Division One nurses update their knowledge on how to deal with the rare but very serious post vaccination adverse event - anaphylaxis. This package will be useful for up-skilling nurses in the event of an influenza pandemic where mass vaccination programs may be required.
