Mental Health Emergencies Workshop
A two day workshop for registered nurses, medical practitioners, ambulance paramedics, allied health and other health providers employed in a variety of rural and remote settings. This workshop will cover such things as: Mental Health Assessment, Risk Assessments, Common Disorders and risk factors, Assessment and management and Referral networks and procedures.
This workshop was conducted in July 2010 another workshop will be scheduled in early 2011

Twilight Emergency Care Program July/August 2010 (4 sessions over 4 weeks)
This program is designed to address the most frequent clinical concerns for health professionals working in rural emergency areas. Each session addresses a separate area and combines lectures and interactive skill stations. The program is designed for general practitioners, registered nurses, ambulance paramedics and any other clinicians working with time critical patients. Participants are able to attend any individual session or attend all four sessions.
This program was conducted in July/August 2010, another program will be scheduled for 2011
