Alfred Health: Burns Unit The Victorian Adult Burns Service (VABS) at The Alfred hospital is the state-wide provider of burns care for all adults with complex major burn injuries in Victoria, as well as many people with less severe burns. In addition, they provide education and training for rural and regional clinicians involved in caring for burn-injured patients, and collaborate with community and industry groups on burn awareness campaigns and to provide first aid education and training. Wound Management Association of Victoria WMAV Inc. was founded in 1990 and, together with wound management groups from each state and territory, is incorporated with the national body, the Australian Wound Management Association (AWMA). WMAV Inc. is a multi-disciplinary group of health care professionals dedicated to the advancement of research based wound management. The multidisciplinary members of WMAV Inc. include medical practitioners, nurses, podiatrists, physiotherapists, pharmacists and trade representatives. Attaining effective wound management through education and support for its members is the aim of WMAV Inc.

Wounds West WoundsWest is an innovative project that aims to improve wound prevention and management throughout Western Austrlia. The three key components of the project are advice, education and audit. The combination of these components will enable clinicians throughout the State to provide evidence-based wound care quickly and easily no matter where they are. European Wound Management Association The EWMA works to promote the advancement of education and research into native epidemiology, pathology, diagnosis, prevention and management of wounds of all aetiologies. EWMA is an umbrella organisation linking wound management associations across Europe and a multidisciplinary group bringing together individuals and organisations interested in wound management. EWMA works to reach its objectives by being an educational resource, organising conferences, contributing to international projects related to wound management, actively supporting the implementation of existing knowledge within wound management and providing information on all aspects of wound management.
European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel The EPUAP leads and supports all European countries in the efforts to prevent and treat pressure ulcers. Their aim is "to provide the relief of persons suffering from or at risk of pressure ulcers, in particular through research and the education of the public".
